BIO

As an honors graduate from the University of Guelph, I quickly applied for an internship at The Rights Factory in Toronto Ontario. Two years later, I have finished multiple courses in the TMU Publishing Certificate program, and provided editorial support for over forty manuscripts. I continue to work as an editorial assistant at TRF, and am on track to become an agent in the

near future.

I've decided to offer my services separate from the company in order to strengthen my editorial skills and to reach authors who may not be interested in traditional publishing.

In my free time you can usually find me at the dog park with my 100lb shepherd or working on my own novel.

Story Coaching

Every author goes through growing pains. Some struggle to get out of the world building stage, others have a great idea but don't know where to start. This is where I come in.

This package includes chapter reviews and eight weekly meetings (1hr each) to discuss your novel, where your at, and what happens next. I will help walk you through story beats, character development and world building at a base level.

Flat Rate: $500

Structural Editing

Congratulations! You've finished your novel. It's an incredible achievement, but your work isn't done yet. Now it's time to look at that first draft and evaluate your story.

This type of editing can be incredibly difficult for an author to complete on their own, and that's simply because you are too close to your own work.

I will complete line-by-line edits to address character development, world building and plot. Two meetings are also included in this package. One before my edits and one following.

Rate: $0.008 per word

Line Editing

Line editing is the final step editorial process. This is for authors who have already completed structural editing and are nearing publication. I don't recommend this package if you believe there are still issues with the story itself as line editing looks are changing sentence structure, rhythm and grammar.

For authors who are interested in a more in-depth package, structural editing and line editing can be grouped together. For this, I will provide you with a structural edit first, give you a chance to make changes, and then complete a line edit.

Rate: $0.015 per word (Line edit)
